Using Our Services
Eclipse Driver Training Privacy Policy document provides details about how we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.
Fees and payment
Payment must be received prior to the commencement of each lesson and can be made by cash or EFTPOS. Credit card EFTPOS payments incur a 2% surcharge. If you need to pay by another method, please contact us. We do not provide credit and reserve the right to cancel any lesson and charge an administration fee where payment has not been received by the scheduled lesson time. Any outstanding lesson and administration fees must be received 48 hours prior to your driving test.
Any savings or special offers are as advertised on our website and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Savings are based on our standard lesson prices.
Gift certificates and prepaid lesson packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, are not refundable and can only be used by one nominated driver.
Our fees do not include Vicroads appointment, test or licence fees.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson or change the pick-up or drop-off location, please advise us at least 48 hours before the booking time. Changes can be made by phone, SMS or email. If you do not receive confirmation from us you must try again. Failure to give 48 hours notice will result in an administration fee being charged or prepaid lesson fee forfeited.
We understand that occasionally you may be unexpectedly delayed for your lesson and request you contact us as soon as you become aware of any likely delay. Where you have not advised us, we will wait for you for up to 15 minutes after which time we will consider the lesson abandoned. Any fees already paid for that lesson will be forfeited. If that lesson was not paid in advance, an administration fee for the cancellation must be paid prior to us accepting further bookings from you.
Likewise, if we are delayed past the lesson starting time we will contact you. Where either party is delayed less than 15 minutes we will attempt to make up this time in the current lesson. Where other bookings prevent this, the delayed time will be made up in a future lesson.
Where we expect to be more than 15 minutes late we will give you the option of rescheduling the lesson for another time.
For your safety
Lessons can only be provided to holders of a valid Learner’s Permit, Probationary or Full Australian driver’s licence or an overseas licence that has been verified by Vicroads and must be presented prior to the first lesson.
To ensure driving lessons are conducted safely and legally, all students must always:
- carry their licence or learner’s permit
- be in a fit state to drive
- advise the instructor of any health or other conditions that may affect your driving
- wear comfortable clothing and shoes that will not interfere with vehicle control
- drive within your capabilities and as directed by your instructor
If you are acting illegally or in a manner that may be unsafe to you, your instructor or other road users, the lesson will be immediately terminated and lesson fee forfeited.
As a driver the current Road Law states you are liable for all fines, offences and demerit points even while driving under supervision. It is your responsibility to advise us if your Permit or Licence has been suspended or cancelled.
